Photothermal Catalytic Degradation of Lomefloxacin with Nano Au/TiO2

With the fast development of intensive poultry and aquaculture, consumption antibiotics has ever been increasing. Absorbed or metabolized usually enter water environment in form active drugs metabolites, which can enhance resistance pathogenic microorganisms even cause serious pollution. Considering bacteriostatic activity antibiotics, main biological method used to treat organic waste limited efficiency. Herein, we prepared Au/TiO2 for efficient photocatalytic degradation lomefloxacin (LOM) antibiotic wastewater. Based on characteristics Au/TiO2, short–wavelength light be converted into photogenerated carriers with TiO2 support long–wavelength heat, likely due localized surface plasmon resonance effect Au, synergistically promoting LOM degradation. This study not only demonstrates that is an photocatalyst degradation, but also further indicates effectiveness technology treatment
